The Cross Canada journey is complete... I travelled a total of 3972 km in all kinds of weather... sun, wind, rain, sleet and snow. It went well, although it was a long drive alone. The north shore of Superior is really remote... and although beautiful, the hotels, restaurants and gas stations are few and far between ! Glad to be home.

Cross Canada Journey

Beautiful light in Southern Alberta
Eastbound on Hwy 3

Milk River, Alberta
Rogers Pass, Montana

Started my eastbound journey this morning. Crossed the Continental Divide at Rogers Pass, Montana, then headed north to the Canadian border. Drove parallel to the snow capped Rockies for miles... what a beautiful sight. Hung a right at Lethbridge, Alberta and ended up in Medicine Hat. Great day, great drive, great scenery...

PRETTY FLOWERS IN A GRUNGY WORLD

Beauty does exist in the gritty city. Proof that natural and man-made objects can co-exist in harmony.

Each image is montage of a flower photograph and a background photograph - usually something rusty or unattractive. They have been blended together in photoshop to produce images that reflect the notion that there is always something pretty to look at - so open your eyes, and look around - you'll be surprised at what you see !
