Creating a Photo-Encaustic piece

I have been experimenting with encaustic on my photos to give them a more textured, painterly look.  The results have been fabulous !
Applying rice paste to 24x36 birch board
Placing photo
Smoothing 
Applying wax with brush and heat gun
Finished image
